The purpose of this policy

This policy is designed to ensure the safety of users and members of our website.

Modern slavery is a term used to encompass slavery, forced and compulsory labour, child labour and human trafficking. All of these activities involve depriving a person of their liberty in order to exploit them for personal or commercial gain.

These activities constitute horrendous crimes and violations of fundamental human rights, and we are committed not only to never engage in them but also to implement regulatory controls and measures to actively combat them.

We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and we are committed to ensuring that we do not benefit from or in any way contribute to this global concern in any way or form.

It is our primary responsibility to ensure that our website is free from these illegal activities by putting this policy into effect, monitoring its use and effectiveness, handling any issues regarding it, and scrutinising all internal systems and procedures to guarantee that they are successful in prohibiting modern slavery.

We will monitor all information posted, uploaded, displayed or otherwise made available on the website or transmitted to our members, using both human reviewers and technology. If we discover that a members is engaging in and/or facilitating any activity that might lead to, or suggest, a breach of this policy, we will report them to the authorities of law enforcement and bar them from using or accessing our website.

We will not engage in business of any kind with any other person or company who engages or is suspected in engaging in activities of modern slavery. If we discover that any business associated in any way with us is engaged in, or otherwise supporting, and/or condoning or failing to prevent such activities, when such activities are within their control and/or influence, we will cease all connection with them. We shall also endeavour to maintain business relationships with other companies and individuals that are committed to respecting fundamental human rights and protecting against modern slavery.

We shall also strive to ensure that all our employees and those working with or on behalf of the company, as well as our users and members, will support and uphold the measures laid out in this policy, to protect against modern slavery. Our employees are instructed to remain alert to modern slavery in all its forms and we emphasise to them that it is also their responsibility to work towards the prevention, detection and reporting of these activities.

Reporting

Our users and members are encouraged to report any activities that may constitute modern slavery and which are occurring on our website. We also strongly advise our users and members to immediately report such acts to the authorities of law enforcement. We strive to work on these matters with immediate effect, and to investigate any reports, while fully cooperating with the respective authorities.
